Showfloor Buzz Takes A Vacation The Showfloor Buzz will be taking a one week vacation and will publish its next issue on August 23, 2006.
DEAR SHOWFLOOR BUZZ
After returning to Berm after a week of rest & recuperation, I was greeted with this amazing award (editors note: 2006 Intrepid Award) sitting on my desk. It totally blind-sided me because I slid out of here the week after TS 2 and I was shut down for the week and nobody called to alert me.
I can't tell you what a thrill it is to be recognized by your peers but most especially honored by your friends. Having the sense of occasion after this honor, I encourage everyone to get involved in the educational process of this industry. The easiest way to contribute is with your continued support of associations like EACA & TSEA. These groups have the strongest commitment to educating the "practitioners" in this industry by continually bringing us the industry experts and expertise, the tips and techniques that are the difference between success and failure. And failure is one the the mostly costly lessons you don't want to learn.
In my opinion, one thing that EACA has stood for since their formation, is your ability to bring the experts to the classroom that have the "know-how". Many of the folks in this industry
talk the talk and possess "knowledge" of the industry, but EACA folks walk the walk because the bring "know-how" to the table..there is a big difference. There is no better education than learning from a "road warrior".
I want to thank you and the membership for selecting me for the beautiful Intrepid Award and what it stands for, and by placing me in the company of the distinguished honorees of the past years. When I get my second wind I'll be back in the loop contributing my talents to the
industry I love, however in the meantime if I can assist you in any way, don't hesitate to call on me.
May God richly bless you in all of your endeavors.
