DEAR SHOWFLOOR BUZZ

As you know, ACC is being staged in New Orleans next March and we have a number of EAC-assembled booths. I was curious if you've heard any anecdotes from your members about what it's like working in New Orleans these days--i.e., how the labor pool is doing, whether EACs are having to bring in more people from out of town/state, division of the workforce between EACs and GSCs, outlook for next year, etc. There have already been a couple of major shows in Morial, but at ~225K nsf, ours is probably more EAC-dependent than those. I know there are a couple of big shows occurring there in October & November, including Reproductive Medicine, Coatings, and Realtors.

Anyway, in your discussions with members, if you talk to anyone who's worked New Orleans lately, I'd appreciate any feedback they have. We're looking toward a successful meeting next March.

Thanks.
