EACA Conducts Sales Tax Liability Survey

The EACA is conducting a survey of its members regarding sales tax liability.

The goal of this survey is to collect data on EACA members’ experience and current practices regarding sales tax so that we might better understand this issue as an association.     Our intention is to use this data to provide a "Best Practices" document on sales tax issues for all members, as well as potentially retaining a sales tax professional who can offer advice and recommendations on a state by state basis to our members.    The decision on whether we retain the tax professional or not will be based upon the number of members who express interest in supporting that effort.

If you have not yet responded to the request to participate in this survey, we urge you to do so. If you haven’t received a request to participate in the survey and would like to do so, please send an email to jimwurm@eaca.com.

Make Plans to Attend the National Labor Management Conference

The EACA, along with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and ESCA, will be sponsoring a National Labor Management Conference in Las Vegas, NV on March 7-8, 2008 at the UBC Training Center.

This invitation-only event will not only include labor and contractors who utlize labor to provide exhibit services, but also facility management, show organizers and other industry leaders from across the nation.  The intention of the conference is to examine ideas and initiatives that can enable trade show contractors and labor to improve the quality of customer servicing at trade shows.

Invitations for attending the NLM Conference have been sent out.   If you are an owner, or senior level employee, and haven’t received an invitation you can request one by sending an email to jimwurm@eaca.com.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

All expenditures whether from the heart or the wallet, in the past or present, big or small, can be viewed as either "depleting" or "enriching."

Enriching works for me.
