TS2 Announces Changes -Greenspan Departs,
Shevlin Promoted. The EACA has learned
that Steve Greenspan will no longer be working on the TS2 team.
TS2 was only one of several job duties Steve had at NTP.
He will be continuing to do work for NTP on a
contractor basis
Kellie Shevlin, who has worked in a
sponsorship and exhibit space sales capacity for TS2 for four
years, has been promoted to the position of TS2 Sales and
Industry Relations Manager. In this new role she will
manage all exhibit sales for the show and will have continued
and more formal responsibility for continuing to build
relationships with the many industry organizations that support
TS2.
Elena Grant, formerly the Director of
Marketing for the Consumer Electronics Show (the largest show
in the United States) has joined NTP as the Executive
Director of Marketing. She will oversee NTP's current
marketing team, focusing on new
ways to bring qualified attendees
to TS2.
As the architects of the most recent
successes at TS2, Tamara Chrisitan of NTP expressed confidence
in their ability to continue to build an even stronger event
for our exhibitors and attendees and the trade show industry.
IHA EAC
Deadline is February 2, 2007 A reminder to all EACA
members that the deadline for EAC registration for IHA is
February 2, 2007. Please be sure to
login to the EACA site on “EAC registration” to
insure that all your clients have registered your company to
perform services at this show.
Please note that there will also be a
pre-con meeting for all registered EACs for
Tuesday, February 27th at 10:00a.m, in Room
E-258.
All IHA-registered EACs are expected to be in attendance at
this important meeting to pick-up your access credentials for
IHA. Please mark the time and date on your
calendar.
CELL PHONE REMINDER. In one week, all
cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing
companies and you will start to receive sales calls.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS.
To prevent this, call the following number from your cell
phone: 888-382-1222. It is
the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute
of your time. It blocks your number for five (5)
years.
It will take 31 days for your name to be placed on the DO NOT
CALL list. If after 31 days you receive an unwanted call
from a telemarketer you want file a complaint at the number
above or at www.donotcall.gov.

CHICAGO CHAPTER ANNOUNCEMENT
McCormick
Place Produces “Welcome Buttons”
The MPEA in their ongoing effort to
improve and enhance customers service for shows at McCormick
Place are producing welcome buttons for all showfloor workers
to wear during move-in and move-out.
EACA members can pick up their welcome buttons at the FOCUS
One Service Desk during the move-in of all shows.
EAC managers, and supervisors, can go
to the desk to claim their buttons, which are packaged in bags
of 25.
When checking in, the Coordinator will check off the EAC
company and note the amount of buttons taken.
Each EAC company should only have 1
representative retrieve the welcome buttons.
All EACA members are encourage to support this program!
LAS VEGAS CHAPTER ANNOUNCEMENT
LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER
ANNOUNCEMENT
All EACA members should be alerted to a new
regulation at the LVCC. No labor will be allowed on
floor until one hour after the show closes.
NEW ORLEANS CHAPTER ANNOUNCEMENT
All Contractor badges issued in 2006
will be accepted through the end of 2007 at the Ernest N.
Morial Convention Center . All other provisions of the
MCC Access Policy remain in place.
New badges will be required in 2008.

Janet Levy
Joins The Expo Group. < Irving, Texas >
Janet Levy has joined The Expo Group as Vice
President, National Sales. Levy comes to The
Expo Group from GES, and will office in California.
IAEE Moves
Expo! Expo! to Mandalay Bay <Tradeshow Week>
The Intl. Assn. of Exhibitions and Events has moved
this year’s Expo! Expo! tradeshow from the Las Vegas
Convention Center to Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The
entire annual meeting now is scheduled under one roof Dec.
10-12.
Former IDG World Expo Exec Joins 1105
Media <Tradeshow Week>
Dick Blouin, former president of
IDG World Expo, is joining 1105 Media's senior management team.
Blouin will be responsible for all the company's live events,
which include tradeshows, conferences and seminars.
Moreno joins Reed

News> Mike Moreno has been appointed Vice President,
General Manager of Contemporary Forums (CF), producer of
medical education events for nurses, physicians and other
healthcare professionals, which was acquired by Reed Exhibition
Cos. in May 2006.

Association (EACA) which is dedicated to "raising the level of
service excellence on the showfloor."
This publication is sent free of charge to all EACA members
each Wednesday, and to non-members four weeks later.
Annual subscriptions to current issues of the Buzz
are available to non-members for $49.95.

EACA members are also permitted to submit job postings to the
Buzz free of charge for a one time listing. Member
job postings can be extended for additional weeks in the Buzz
as well as posted to the EACA web site. The
costs for extending your job posting are one month for $50, 2
months for $85, and 3 months for $125.
