Jane Perchinske has been in the trade show industry for almost 25 years. Her career began when she traveled to Atlanta to help her brother-in-law out with the Marine Trade Show. What started out as summer job spiraled into a career opportunity at Andrews-Bartlett. Jane accepted a position in customer service at AB and made Atlanta, GA her permanent residence. During her years at AB, Jane was promoted to customer service manager, and then in 1995 after GES bought Andrews Bartlett Jane made her way over to MC². After four years of hard work, at MC², Jane made her final move over to Champion Exposition Services. Jane has been with Champion for almost ten years now. She serves as the AE for various accounts. Recently, Jane was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer that has advanced to her liver. Although this news is discouraging, Jane has kept her head held high and attacked this disease with a vengeance. Jane will face many obstacles while battling this disease, but has always used humor and laughter as her main form of medication. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Emory Hospital and is hopeful that with perseverance, a positive attitude and patience she will overcome this disease. The RSMGC will take place at Chateau Elan on October 24, 2008 in Braselton, GA (outside of Atlanta). Nth Degree To Raise Money for the 14th Annual Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic Nth Degree will be making a special effort to raise funds for the RSMGC this year by reaching out to all employees on the showfloor in cities across the country. This company-wide event will take place on October 08 – 10, 2008 for most Nth Degree cities including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, D.C., Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, Orlando and San Francisco, and on October 15 -16, 2008 for Seattle, San Antonio, Southern California, Denver, New York, Philadelphia and Phoenix only, based on show schedules. Over these days Nth Degree will be collecting money through all of our city offices . At the end of the fundraiser, Nth Degree will match all contributions and will present the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic with a collective donation. Three Nth Degree employees and their families have benefited from the RSMGC over the past 14 years including Frankie Pozza, Sherry Reynolds and Wayne Veal. The new program will allow the OCCC to consolidate contractor information, to better track required documentation, and to directly communicate with all of its approved contractors. The further intention of this program is to help improve the overall security of the convention center and its guests. The EACA has been retained by the OCCC to administer this program and to maintain an online database of registered companies. If you have yet to register for the OCCC program, and intend to work in the facility during the next year, please do so immediately, and use the OCCC Contractor Security Agreement form.OCCC Approved Contractors ListAll contractors who have completed the OCCC Contractor Security Agreement and are approved to work in the building can be seen on the EACA web site under the “Facilities” tab at the top of the home page. Combined air, hotel and car costs expected to increase 13 percent in 2009 <Expo Web News> Combined air, hotel and car costs are expected to increase 13 percent in 2009, according to the 2009 Industry Forecast released by London-based Advito, a travel management consulting firm. The price hikes can be attributed to unfavorable currency exchange rates, rising local taxes and market uncertainty.
