Nth Degree Raises Money for the 14th Annual Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic

The 14th annual Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic took place on October 24, 2008.   Nth Degree participated in the golf and tennis events and also led a fundraising effort across the entire Nth Degree organization to expand this event beyond those who participated that day. This company-wide fundraiser took place in October across all of Nth Degree’s operation and sales offices nationwide raising $3,285.87, which Nth Degree generously matched for a total of $6,571.74.

Nth Degree’s President, John Yohe said this cause is particularly special to Nth Degree as three Nth Degree employees and their families have benefited from the event over the past 14 years: “By holding this fundraiser we were able to honor the memory of Frankie Pozza, Sherry Reynolds and Wayne Veal and to offer our support to a wonderful foundation and fantastic event.”

“Nth Degree was thrilled to present the RSMGC with a check for over $6,000. We collected money not only from Nth Degree staff, but from other industry suppliers who were inspired to be involved in this great cause,” added Yohe.

Nth Degree participates in the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic every year and looks forward to supporting this event in 2009.  For more information about the RSMGC, please visit www.rsmgc.org.

Egencia Predicts Hotel/Airline Price Cuts in 2009.    <M&C Midweek News>  The latest industry forecast, released Monday by travel management company Egencia, predicts that both average airline ticket prices and average daily hotel rates in the top 20 domestic and international business markets will remain flat or decline slightly in 2009. Despite capacity cuts and extra fees charged by airlines, the average airfare could decline as much as 12 to 16 percent in Atlanta, 9 to 13 percent in Denver, 8 to 12 percent in New York City and 10 to 14 percent in Seattle. On the hotel side, Egencia expects the largest declines in average rates will be seen in Chicago (8 to 12 percent decline), New York City (6 to 10 percent), Phoenix (7 to 11 percent) and San Diego (6 to 10 percent). Nearly half of 500 business travelers surveyed two weeks ago by Egencia (47 percent) expect to travel less next year.
