EACA PEOPLE IN THE NEWS
Bud Rebedeau dies at 83 <Expo Web News> With great sadness, we report the death of Francis “Bud” Rebedeau, who died peacefully surrounded by his family in the early morning hours of January 7, following a bout with cancer. He was 83 years old. In any other year, and for more than the last 20, you would have found Bud this week working at CES.
An industry leader for more than 50 years, Bud was Chairman of The Rebedeau Group, an exposition and association management firm he founded in suburban Chicago in 1948.
Bud was responsible for launching the National Systems Contractors Association for the electronics systems industry, and CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association, for the home theater market. He also launched their respective trade shows, each of which became leading events in their field.
At various times in his career was active in MPI, IAEM and SISO.
He kept his sense of humor to the end, declaring, “This is one hell of a fam trip,” from his hospital bed last weekend.
Good-bye, Bud. We'll miss you.
Details regarding services (Sunday) and the funeral mass (Monday) will be posted at http://panozzobros.com - Panozzo Brothers Funeral Home in Chicago Heights, IL, 708-481-9230.

The further intention of this program is to help improve the overall security of the convention center and its guests.
The EACA has been retained by the OCCC to administer this program and to maintain an online database of registered companies.
