2010
International CES EAC online registration is
open. CES has an online tool for EACs to manage their
requirements for the 2010 International CES. Any EAC that needs
access to the CES show floor must upload their current
information into this tool. This includes subcontracted EACs.
New for 2010 – CES has posted information on rules and
regulations, target freight floorplans and other resources on
this site to help you plan for the upcoming event. Please visit
www.CESweb.org/eac to register now and access this
valuable information. If you have any questions regarding the
2010 event, please e-mail CES Operations at CESeac@CE.org.
OCCC CSA
Renews in August. The Orange County
Convention Center will be sending out notices in the near
future to all event contractors regarding the Contractor
Security Agreement (CSA) for 2009-10. All EACA
members can expect to receive renewal information in the next
10 days to 2 weeks.
The OCCC’s Contractor Security Agreement (CSA) must be
completed by all event contractor’s that will need access
to the building to service clients during the year from
August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010.
This year’s CSA agreement includes a provision for the
badging of full time and temporary personnel which the OCCC
will utilize to determine which event contractors are in
compliance with the facility requirement.
Another notable change for next year is that the annual
registration fee for EACs has been reduced to $250.

Chicago Randy Cancellation
Announcement
It is with mixed emotions, due to the current economic
conditions, that the organizers of the local Chicago Randy
Charity Golf Outing and the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic
in Atlanta, feel it best to cancel the Chicago Randy Golf
Outing, originally scheduled for August 3rd.
In light if the current situation, we don’t feel our
supporters should feel the burden of obligation this year and
would like the focus to be toward re-building our industry and
companies.
If you still wish to make a donation please visit rsgmc.org,
The Randy Smith Memorial Golf Outing website. We appreciate
your support the last six years and look forward to the 2010
Chicago Randy.
We wish everyone the best.”

Tap, go

and easy way to ensure that attendees have paid for a session
or meal at your show? Take a cue from the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers (ASME), which uses Tap-N-Go technology
from Smart-reg International for session tracking and
admittance verification. ASME has used the free-standing,
battery-operated, RFID-enabled Tap-N-Go units at its meetings
for the past two years to verify which attendees have
registered for conference sessions or whose registration
includes lunch.
