EACA Announces New Board of Directors for 2019

BEND, OR  (December 10, 2018) — At its Board meeting held in conjunction with EDPA ACCESS in Naples, FL, the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association (EACA) updated its By-Laws to expand its Board of Directors and formed its new Advisory Board for 2019.

The new President of the EACA is David Holloway of Eagle Management, and Bernie Massett of MC2 is the new Vice President.   Colleen Johnson of Sho-Link will serve as Treasurer of the EACA in 2019, and Ben Power of Nth Degree will serve as the association’s Secretary.    EACA’s officers will serve one year terms which will be completed at next winter’s Board meeting at EDPA ACCESS.

“During my term as President, it is my intention to continue our efforts to grow the membership in our association, and to work closely with our sister associations in the tradeshow industry, as well as our union brethren, so that we can collectively improve our ability to service our customers, the exhibitors,” said David Holloway in his first address to the EACA membership.   “We plan to build on the success established during Shannon Scherer’s tenure as President (who becomes the association’s Immediate Past President),” Holloway continued.   “In addition to previous initiatives, I will direct the EACA Board to find ways that we can enhance connections and value in our community by introducing the EACA “Help Desk” mobile app which members can use to obtain mission critical information about existing projects in real time.”

In addition to the election of its new officers, the EACA Board voted to change the association By-Laws to accommodate for growth through the addition of 4 new EAC Directors to the Board.  With these additions the EACA Board now includes John O’Shea, Czarnowski, Brian Phebus, Metro Corporation, April Hurley, The Expo Group, Rick Bellerjeau, Momentum Management, Bill Muller, Renaissance Management, Bob Dobinski, CorpEvents New England, and Ronnie Wakefield, UPS Freight.

The By-Law changes also provided for the formation of a new Advisory Board comprised of EACA Associate members to continue the EACA founding principle of receiving input from all trade show industry stakeholders.   The make-up of the Advisory Board will be announced at a later date.

“The EACA continues to enjoy the most diverse governing oversight in our industry.” said Jim Wurm, Executive Director.  “We believe this diversity is the real source of our strength and commitment to our industry.   As the Board approves initiatives for our organization we know that we have already generated a mini-consensus of all players in the trade show industry for ideas that will really support the notion of developing world-class customer service in the tradeshow industry,”  Wurm continued.   “And, after all that’s what we’ve been all about from the very beginning.”

The Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association is the tradeshow industry’s only association dedicated to “raising the level of service excellence on the showfloor.”   The mission of the EACA is to create tangible value for its members, and the entire trade show industry, by leveraging the combined strength of the EAC community.    The association is currently comprised of more than 150 member companies representing more than 12,500 full time trade show professionals, and more than 50,000 part time trade show workers.  The association is headquartered in Bend, Oregon.
