The EACA will be livestreaming a webinar program on Friday, March 5 18, at 1pm ET, 12pm CT, and 10am PT, to provide information on several training programs that will be required of EAC personnel when the events industry re-opens.
There are 3 training requirements that will be covered in this program:
OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 Safety Training to work in Las Vegas presented by Bill Muller, RMI
As of January 1, 2021, all convention workers who work in the state of Nevada must take and pass the OSHA10 Safety Training Program (10 hour course) within 15 days of being hired. Any supervisory employee must take the OSHA 30 Safety Training program (30 hour course) within 15 days of being hired. In this section of the program you will learn how this training program requirement (which pre-dated the COVID pandemic) came about and where and when the program is offered.
GBAC Trained Technician Certification presented by Rob West, Sho-Link
The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), has developed a training course that is designed to prepare event industry professionals how to respond to and recover from biohazards in the workplace. This part of the program will provide additional information on what elements the course covers
Compliance Officer Certification presented by Matthew Little, Nuvista
Since the trade show floor is a work environment where people work closely with one another, and social distancing is often not possible venues and organizers may require that someone on your staff is a trained Compliance Officer. This certification program is designed to inform operations and project managers about venue and event established safety protocols related to COVID-19, as well as provide tools and resources for the new COVID-19 Compliance Officer (C19CO) position.
