LVCVA Invites EACs to Informational Workshop
LVCVA management has extended an invitation to all EACs operating in Las Vegas to attend an informational workshop next Tuesday, August 21 in meeting room N250 from 9am to 12noon. Various members of the LVCVA staff will present information on:

  • ESCA Badging
  • LVCC Laydown Areas
  • Food Policies
  • LVCC District impending expansion
  • Building Users Manual
  • Safety
  • Electronic EAC Vendor/Application Renewal

The EACA will be holding its annual meeting at the Randy on Thursday October 4 at the offices of Nth Degree.

This meeting will be an opportunity to review and discuss the initiatives and achievements of EACA in 2018 and all members are invited to attend.

So if you’re planning to participate in the RSMGC be sure to come to Atlanta a day early and attend this important meeting.  The meeting will begin in the afternoon at 2pm to give travelers ample time to fly in and attend the meeting.

Sho Link NamesDuBois Orlando Assistant City Manager.  Sho-Link Incorporated a premier installation and dismantle service company, names Steve Dubois to Orlando Assistant Manager.
This promotion demonstrates Sho-Link’s continued commitment to employee pride & recognition.  Dubois started working with Sho-Link in 2007 part time and quickly grew to a traveling supervisor.  Some of his key traveling supervisor accounts were Hormel, Thomas & Betts, Canon and Mazda.

MC2 Names McNeal General Manager   MC², an award-winning brand experience agency, announces the hiring of Chad McNeal as general manager. In this role, McNeal will oversee talent development and new business growth in the Midwest market. He will be based in Chicago and will report to Rich McAdam, the company’s president.

North American Int’l Auto Show Moves to June in 2010. <TSNN> The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will move out of the crowded car show fall/winter timeframe and into summer starting in 2020 in Detroit. In addition, the show will transform into one that was traditionally held just inside the Cobo Center, to taking on more of a ‘festival’ environment and holding events in venues around the city, including outdoors.  The show is run by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and its Executive Board.UFI Report.

UFI, the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry, has released the latest edition of its flagship Global Barometer research, taking the pulse of the industry. One of the key findings: for the first time in the past 10 years, all four global regions have reported a positive turnover development simultaneously. In terms of operating profit, most companies maintained a good level of performance in 2017, and more than 40 percent of companies from all regions declared an increase of more than 10 percent, compared with 2016. However, the prospects for 2018 are currently lower globally.
