EACA Member Meeting at the RSMGC.    The EACA held its annual meeting at the offices of Nth Degree during the RSMGC week in Atlanta on Thursday October 4.    More than 35 EACA members were in attendance to discuss the recent initiatives undertaken by EACA as well as new opportunities for the association.

Highlights of the meeting included:

  • the financial review by Treasurer, David Holloway of Eagle Management, who reported that the EACA is in sound financial condition.
  • a discussion on EAC challenges in the trade show industry including the EACA response to a recent uptick in EAC fees charged by show organizers like Informa
  • a review of EACA member benefits that a number of members may not know about including the discounted supplies purchasing program and the EACA webcast program
  • an introduction by Antonia Nuzzolo of Eagle Management on the an EACA Forum App (called WixForum) that will allow all EACA members to post their needs and/or concerns and get immediate feedback from the EAC community on how, when and where to find solutions.

All in all the meeting was a very positive experience and the EACA would like to extend its thanks to Shannon Scherer and Barbara McCue for their terrific hospitality.

Sho-Link’s New Headquarters.  Sho-Link Incorporated a premier installation and dismantle service company, is excited to announce the opening of their new headquarters location.    Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce welcomed Sho-Link to the community with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Wednesday, August 29th, 2018.

EDPA Hires New Executive Director.  <Exhibit City News>  The Experiential Designers & Producers Association is expanding and has hired Dasher Lowe in the role of executive director while Jeff Provost and his PRO Management team will continue to support Lowe with management of membership details and the planning and execution of EDPA’s annual ACCESS and ENGAGE conferences.

Steve Hill Replaces Ralenkotter as CEO of LVCVA.   <TSNN> The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors selected Steve Hill as the next Chief Executive Officer, effective Sept. 1. Hill will be the ninth leader of the LVCVA, succeeding the retiring CEO, Rossi Ralenkotter.
